Hello, I'm Maria of miakat creates or Mia (a little term of endearment from my Mama) - hence the name miakat.
My passion has allowed me to indulge in a creative world for over 25 years, I pride myself in creating the bespoke and beautiful, transforming spaces innovatively with creative concepts, procurement, bespoke design, styling, prop making and painting, any sized project big or small, my project management skills are precise and thorough, ensuring deadlines are met on time and within budget.
Art is also my passion enjoying mixed media and materials for my abstract paintings.

Art direction work includes set styling, prop buying and making for TV commercials such as Moonpig, Glasses Direct, Funky Pigeon, Oak Furniture, Farm Foods, Furniture Village, Hip Camp, Casualty and MTV show The Valleys. Scenic and prop painting projects include Dr Who, Traitors, His Dark Materials, Brave New World, War of the Worlds, I'm A Celebrity Get Me Out Of Here, Sex Education and Havoc.

My portfolio includes creative design and styling for Diesel, Nike, Topshop, Marks and Spencers, Burberry, Iittala, Gant, Le Creuset, David and Golaith and Banana Republic helping to make their vision a reality to ensure an excitable space that works practically and visually.
I have also collaborated with Johnny Brophy studio for many years working on press events, interiors and photoshoots for River Island, Club Monaco, Tourne De Transmission, Triumph, Swarovski Crystalised, Tous, Wrangler, Coggles, The Whiskey shop, Yang Du, Lamberts Yard.
